Nedlac Publications
In 2000, Nedlac produced two issues of the Update newsletter,
and two editions of the Dialogue. The publications are posted to 3
500 recipients, 700 are bulk-mailed to Parliament, and placed on
the website.
The regular columns in the bi-monthly South African Labour
Bulletin and the quarterly Indicator continued.
A flyer with the Summit 2000 declaration and Nedlac dates for
2001, and a poster setting out the Declaration were produced.
A new version of the Nedlac history banner was produced and has
been displayed in the Nedlac offices. Smaller versions have been
well-received as gifts by constituencies and many visitors to
Nedlac
Website
The Nedlac website has continued to be a popular means of
accessing Nedlac information. It provides access to all Nedlac
agreements, as well as providing links to other constituency
websites, a research database and a project section.
All media releases are posted on the website, as are weekly
schedules of the meetings that are taking place at Nedlac that
week.
In the year under review, there were on average over one
thousand visits to the website per day.
Nedlac in the media
Nedlac continues to receive extensive coverage of its activities
in the media, with on average, 75-100 articles featuring Nedlac in
the written media each month. Issues which have received
significant coverage include the Proudly South African campaign and
Section 77 notices.
