Nedlac mining industry discussions set to continue

The National Union of Mineworkers, (NUM), and the Chamber of Mines will consult with their members following discussions at Nedlac today.

The discussions followed the issuing of a notice by the union on Nedlac advising of possible industrial action.

Following the recommendations arising from today's meeting, both the union and the Chamber of Mines will consult with their respective members on various proposed agreements.

The discussions will continue at Nedlac on Friday13 February 1998.
