Nedlac to share models with
Danish Prime Minister

The Danish Prime Minister, Mr. Poul Nyrup Rasmussen, will be
visiting Nedlac tomorrow, (Friday 13 February 98), as part of the
programme on his official visit to South Africa on the invitation
of Deputy President Thabo Mbeki.
The Nedlac delegation and the Prime Minister will be sharing
information and views on how South Africa is dealing with the key
issues of transformation, with a reflection on the relevant Danish
experience.
Nedlac Executive Director Jayendra Naidoo comments: "We welcome
this opportunity to share views with the Danish Prime Minister and
his delegation. Denmark has a long and successful history of social
partnership. Iimagine our discussions will focus largely on issues
relating to the labour market, and to how models of social
partnership can be enhanced."
Key members of Nedlac in attendance will include Sam Shilowa,
General Secretary COSATU, Les Kettledas, Deputy Director General,
Departmentof Labour, Raymond Parsons, Director General, SACOB,
Thandi Segodi, National Coordinator,Women's National Coalition, and
Jayendra Naidoo, Nedlac Executive Director.
