ANNUAL NEDLAC SUMMIT SCHEDULED FOR 1 JUNE

A meeting of the Nedlac chairpersons and overall convenors has decided that the annual Nedlac summit will take place on 1 June 1996 at Gallagher Estate.

Progress on issues being considered in the four Nedlac chambers will be reported to the summit, with the emphasis on giving feedback and receiving input from a broad range of organisations and individuals in South African society.

The summit will be chaired by deputy President Thabo Mbeki.

Nedlac's annual report will be presented to the summit.

The first summit was held on 18 February 1995, the day on which Nedlac was officially launched.
