IMPLEMENTING THE GROWTH AND
DEVELOPMENT SUMMIT AGREEMENTS
Nedlac´s Management Committee has agreed on a framework to
guide the way in which constituencies report progress in
implementing the Growth and Development Summit agreements. Monthly
reports will be drawn up showing those areas where there has been
progress, but a more comprehensive report will be tabled quarterly
at Nedlac´s Executive Council meetings.

PROUDLY
SOUTH AFRICAN CAMPAIGN UPDATE
Opportunity for SMME´s, cooperatives and community businesses to
introduce their business and products to Pick 'n Pay buyers All too
often we hear that small businesses struggle to get access to the
large retail chains, even to have their products test-marketed in
one store.
Now Pick 'n Pay, a Proudly South African member, has agreed to hold
special "small business days" for Proudly South African companies.
The emphasis is on small businesses and those businesses which
uplift communities and employ previously disadvantaged people.
BUSINESS UNITY SOUTH
AFRICA
Business Unity South Africa (BUSA) was launched at the
business unity banquet held at Sun City on 11 October 2003. The
launch was witnessed by President Mbeki, Cabinet Ministers,
business leaders and about 3000 other guests.
BUSA will be a united and fully representative organisation of
business in all sectors of economic activity in South Africa. It
brings together the Black Business Council (BBC) and Business South
Africa (BSA) in a new organisation that will represent the business
constituency at the over-arching level.
