IN THIS EDITION
In 2002, the Dialogue will continue to implement some of the
suggestions that were received from readers as a result of the
survey we conducted last year. New features which readers will see
in this edition, which will become regular items, include:
- The Convenors' Column: the Nedlac convenors will be given an
opportunity to comment on issues on the Nedlac agenda. In this
first column, Nedlac's Executive Director, Phillip Dexter, reports
on a recent study tour to look at other countries where social
dialogue has played an important role.
- The Trade page: focussing on issues relating to trade, trade
agreements
- Proudly South African Campaign Update
- Fridge studies: what Nedlac is researching; the latest research
findings
In future editions:
- Readers' column: Social Dialogue is an interactive process. We
would like to get your responses to issues on our agenda, and will
publish articles as space permits. Please email the Editor.
- Labour news: a column focussing specifically on labour matters
- this will be a joint venture with the South African Labour
Bulletin.
Dialogue is the official newsletter of the National Economic
Development and Labour Council.
